Chimney repair and rebuilds
Crowns, repointing, partial and full rebuilds, liners, flashing and caps for homes across Toronto and the GTA.

Chimneys take more weather than any other part of the house, on all four sides, and they're the first masonry to go. The usual sequence is a cracked crown, then water in the top courses, then spalling brick and loose mortar, then a lean. Where you are in that sequence decides whether it's a repair or a rebuild.
What we do
- New concrete crowns with a proper drip edge and overhang
- Repointing from the roofline up
- Partial rebuilds of the top courses, the most common fix on 1950s to 1980s homes
- Full rebuilds from the roof deck, with new flashing and counter-flashing
- Chimney caps, rain covers and animal screens
- Removal of unused chimneys and patching the roof
Repair or rebuild?
If the brick is sound and only the mortar has failed, repointing and a new crown will hold for many years. If bricks are flaking, the chimney is leaning, or you can move the top courses by hand, a rebuild from the roofline up is the right call. We'll tell you which one you actually need.
